Our first family ski week at Big White

We booked the shuttle from Kelowna and stayed in a ski-in/ski-out apartment close to the children’s lessons. We ordered groceries before arrival, which was much easier than trying to shop with luggage and two tired children. Once there, we did not need a car.

Our best decision was keeping the first two ski days short. The children needed time to get used to their boots, lessons and the cold, and finishing while everyone was still happy helped the rest of the week. We took turns skiing alone in the afternoons and kept one non-ski afternoon available for bad visibility.
